My sweet tooth and I were as thick as thieves, but after the first 4 months of correcting my gut health, I suddenly had self-control. By the end of the first year, I actually preferred healthy foods (literally). I still like my treats and sweets, but a small amount goes a long way now when before I could binge eat treats for hours.
The first step in any fitness plan to help with weight should address cravings and appetite or you will likely see temporary results with long-term weight regain.
