Gut health may be the secret to a "smoother ride through menopause" (Dr. Jolene Brighten)
There is never a time to not work on gut health. In the cases of perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause, it is especially helpful to start working on your gut health.
Here are some keys that Silver Fern Brand finds helpful for gut health:
(1) Start in the right spot.
This may or may not mean probiotics.
If you have slow motility issues start there.
If you have rapid motility issues start there.
When in doubt ask.
(2) Take the right products in the right order.
One of the biggest mistakes people make with gut health is generalizing all products for all issues as if all products with the same names do the same thing. All probiotics are not the same. Most protocols don't start with probiotics. Probiotics are not the best place to start with motility issues.
(3) Stay on the protocol long-enough to help with the issues you have. Bouncing around with various products here, there, and everywhere is an expensive way to not see much happen.
And no one ever resolved long-term underlying issues in 30 days or less.
(4) Protocols need to cover the full range of gut issues:
a. Microbial balance and diversity
b. Calm inflammatory markers
c. Promote a strong gut barrier
d. Promote a calm and unagitated immune system
(5) Big problems require big protocols. Sorry. It is the truth.
