Acid blockers may be compounding the problem - gut health, magnesium, reflux, heartburn

There is probably a very good reason that magnesium is added to most acid blockers. Magnesium deficiency is a cause for reflux and heartburn problems.

Isn't it interesting that instead of addressing nutrient absorption along with taking magnesium (malate or glycinate) for helping with the underlying issues of reflux and heartburn, most people actually double down and do more harm to nutrient absorption with acid blockers? I find it super confusing.

But acid blockers are super cheap! That is definitely a plus.

If you don't want to live on acid blockers consider an aggressive reflux and heartburn protocol.
