What's the difference between all the different probiotics on the market? A LOT - gut health, supplements
November 26, 2022There is a colossal difference between common reseeding probiotic strains (Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium) and gut managerial strains (B. coagulans, B. subtilis, B. claussi, P. acidilactici, and S. boulardii).
Yes, they are technically both probiotics (just like a riding lawnmower and a jet are both modes of transportation), but how they function and what they do is pretty dramatically different.
To be blunt, there is a HUGE difference between reseeding probiotics found in yogurt and $20 probiotics found at the store and the heavily researched reseeding strains shown to survive digestion sold by reputable brands. And to go next level from there? The benefits of gut management probiotic strains vs. that high-end reseeding probiotic is a whole different ball game. They are simply different.
Low toxin load and high bacteria diversity are the keys to gut health. Therefore, it would make sense if those were the keys to gut health one would want a probiotic that was clinically shown to drive down toxin load and increase beneficial bacteria.
Are there beneficial reseeding probiotic strains? Yes. Absolutely. That has been clinically shown too.
But if you are going to buy a probiotic supplement to fully clean up the gut and provide full gut support, wouldn’t you want a much broader gut management probiotic rather than just a probiotic that may be offering a targeted increase of certain Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains shown to be beneficial for only certain health focuses?
Not all probiotics are the same. Not all strains are of equal quality. When it comes to probiotics, the quality and type of strains matter…A LOT. Get ULTIMATE coverage with your probiotic.
