Histamine Issues - gut health
September 15, 2024Change of diet and DAO enzymes with catalase are the standard response to histamine intolerance, which are great short-term "band-aids."
What you really need is to get rid of the pathogens tearing down your small intestinal barrier, which also usually contribute to excessive histamine production. And then rebuild the barrier so you can once again secrete DAO enzymes on your own.
Hi. I'm Phil. The bald man on our account that prefers to be direct.
Here are the Silver Fern® rules for success with histamine intolerance:
1) If you currently have issues contributing to bacterial imbalances (slow motility, low stomach acid, etc.), address them first.
2) When bad bacteria overgrowth is present, typically other pathogens are present as well. Bad bacteria overgrowth is frequently linked to candida overgrowth. And so on. If you are going to cleanup bad bacteria you are wise to clean out all the bad stuff. Candida overgrowth also damages the mucosal barrier, which then contributes to DAO enzyme deficiency. (19)
3) Major issues like chronic constipation, reflux, gastritis, and histamine intolerance are not resolved in 30 to 60 days, primarily because the underlying causes are complex and "rooted in."
4) Whenever pathogens are killed or major issues are being addressed quickly, discomforts may happen. Reduce the dosing of products by half for 1 to 2 weeks, keep going, and then increase the dosing again when you can.
How do we know this works? Great question.
In our efforts to help those with SIBO-C, IBS-D, GERD, etc., we kept hearing back from customers that their histamine intolerances were gone. It happened so often, we finally had to look into what was occuring. We did not have a histamine intolerance protocol at that time. Now we do. Now we know it works and why.
