Personally speaking, I used to have the worst allergies
ranging from bad hay fever and pollen allergies to food allergies. I dedicated 6 months to really addressing my gut health and immune system. I have been maintaining it ever since. I no longer live on antihistamines and Flonase (or allergy shots).

I am not suggesting I don’t sneeze occasionally when I’m outdoors or on windy days because I do. But the issues I have now are a very small fraction of what I once had.

When a person's neurotransmitters (serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, etc.) are imbalanced mood problems creep up and take over. Neurotransmitters are produced in the gut by bacteria. When gut bacteria are imbalanced so are the neurotransmitters that affect mood.

I am not suggesting a person not take various medications to help with mood problems. But I am suggesting that a healthy gut is key to how a person feels via the Gut-Brain Axis.
